Teaching statistics in schools of public health.
Full Abstract
Biostatistics plays an important role in the education and training of public health students. The aim of this paper is to discuss issues associated with the teaching of biostatistics for master in public health (MPH) students. It characterizes the student body, describes the aims of teaching statistics, and considers how and what should be taught. This paper reflects my experience in both coordinating and teaching biostatistics in the Braun School of Public Health, which is part of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center. The school runs two MPH programs:
an Israeli program and an international one.
